Kardham works at the crossroads of the different trades of professional real estate: consulting, architecture, space design, engineering, digital, project management. David Habrias, Managing Director in charge of Architecture, tells us "the environmental virtue of rehabilitation".
"The current crises accentuate movements already underway before. Office spaces, with a low rate of use compared to the space they occupy, must sometimes be reconverted into housing. The urban environment must be transformed in order to respond. requests for greener spaces, to reduce travel to approach the “1/4 hr city.” We choose to see the current crisis as an opportunity to accelerate this transformation, which is necessary in terms of well-being. be like sustainable development, which was struggling to impose itself.
What role for Kardham?
To reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption, the Group is working on more efficient and sustainable buildings by looking at new materials and new ways of doing things. This environmental concern is due to the challenges of the future as well as to the immediate expectations of users, whom Kardham follows closely as the founding sponsor of the 1st chair of Workplace Management at ESSEC.
