Architecture
Photovoltaic park of the Bordeaux-Lac exhibition site
France’s largest urban solar power station.
Architecture
This solar power station has been explicitly inspired by an exemplary development will of the Bordeaux exhibition site.
It was not only a question of generating clean and renewable energy, but also of improving and of optimising the operation of the carpark (cover of the parking spots, circulation, signage).
With 20 hectares, 60,000 photovoltaic panels and 7,000 parking spots, the power station covers the same area as 27 football fields.
Its annual production of 13 MWh is equivalent to the yearly consumption of approximately 5,000 homes, or to more than six months of public lighting of a city like Bordeaux.
